Tailor‑Made Vectoring and Speed Control Course Concluded for Azeraeronavigation

Air Traffic Controllers from Azeraeronavigation (AZANS) successfully completed a tailor‑made Vectoring and Speed Control training course at CANI. The two‑week programme was designed to enhance operational competencies in the application of vectoring and speed control techniques in both area (ACS) and approach (APS) surveillance environments.

The course combined targeted theoretical instruction with intensive practical training, including:

  • classroom sessions focused on regulatory framework and operational procedures
  • simulator‑based exercises reflecting realistic traffic scenarios
  • structured briefings and debriefings supporting performance improvement and knowledge consolidation

Participants developed and refined key skills related to:

  • application of vectoring techniques in complex traffic situations
  • use of speed control for sequencing and traffic optimisation
  • situational awareness and decision‑making in dynamic ATC environments

Practical training was delivered using CANI simulation platforms, with exercises conducted in representative airspace environments to ensure a strong connection to real‑world operations.
