ATC Basic Training Course – Successfully Completed
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the ATC Basic Training Course at CANI, marking a significant milestone for 17 aspiring air traffic controllers representing four organisations:
- 13 students from Slovenia Control
- 1 student from IDRF – Hof Plauen (Germany)
- 1 student from AADS (Austria)
- 2 students from the Czech Air Force
The course commenced in October 2025 and spanned 15 intensive weeks, encompassing both theoretical instruction and practical simulator exercises in aerodrome and surveillance environments.
Upon successful completion of final written examinations and practical assessments, graduates have proceeded to the next stage of their professional development. Nine Slovenian graduates have returned to Slovenia Control to continue their training, while the remaining participants will advance to Rating Training at CANI.
As part of the programme, participants undertook an excursion to IATCC Jenec, providing valuable exposure to an operational ATC environment and offering important professional context ahead of their final evaluations.
We extend our sincere congratulations to all 17 graduates on this achievement. Their journey toward a career in air traffic control is well underway.
