Training Together, Flying Safer
CANI hosted Human Factors Recurrent Training — mandatory for all licensed ATCOs and completed every three years. Over two intensive days, the programme covered the three compulsory topics: stress management, fatigue management, and Team Resource Management, along with additional modules on burnout prevention, mental resilience, and real incident analysis.
What made the training stand out, however, was the collaboration. Eight ATCOs from ANS CR, military controllers from GCI, pilots from Smartwings and Elio Jet, Gripen pilots, and firefighters from Prague Airport trained side by side — including a hands-on teambuilding session with the airport's firefighting unit, ARFF Prague Airport.
Safety isn’t just about individual skills. It’s about understanding how we support one another to keep Czech airspace safe.
