New Generation of Czech Air Traffic Controllers Begins Intensive Training

We're excited to welcome ten new students who have embarked on a comprehensive 16-week training program to become certified air traffic controllers.

The new class comprises seven students from Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic and three students from the Czech Air Force, representing a collaboration between civilian and military aviation authorities.

Mountain Team Building Launches Training Experience

The students began their journey with an immersive three-day team-building retreat in the mountains, designed to foster teamwork and develop the collaborative skills essential for air traffic control work. During this intensive bonding experience, future controllers participated in team-building exercises, built lasting friendships, and prepared mentally for the rigorous training ahead.

Following the mountain retreat, students were officially welcomed yesterday by our leadership team, marking the formal commencement of their training program.

Comprehensive Training Program

The intensive 16-week program encompasses 321 lessons covering critical aviation disciplines and 24 practical simulator exercises in both aerodrome and surveillance control environments, applying theoretical knowledge in controlled, high-fidelity simulations before managing actual air traffic.

We wish this new generation of air traffic controllers all the best as they begin this exciting journey. CANI is proud to guide them through their training and support them on the path to becoming professional air traffic controllers.
