CANI recently welcomed a delegation of 10 managers from Vietnam Air Traffic Management (VATM) for an intensive, tailor-made program: Navigation Technology and Systems Development Trends.

Training NAV Portugal in Lisbon

CANI successfully completed an on-site OJTI/Assessor Course for Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) at NAV Portugal's facilities in Lisbon. This marks another successful collaboration in our ongoing partnership with Portugal's air navigation service provider.

The specialized five-day program was designed to transition experienced ATSEP professionals into instructor and assessor roles. Participants gained comprehensive skills in classroom instruction techniques, training procedures and assessment methodologies, and the application of human factors principles in aviation environments.

The program enables these newly qualified instructors to effectively transfer critical technical knowledge and maintain high safety standards across their organization.

Czech ATC Students Achieve APS Rating Qualification

We are delighted to announce that our Czech Air Traffic Controller students have achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing their APS (Approach Control Service) Rating Training.

Following an intensive 22-week training program, our dedicated students have accomplished remarkable results:

We are proud to announce the launch of a comprehensive Air Traffic Controller Basic Training program for 24 talented students from Avinor, Norway's leading aviation services provider.

Celebrating Success with Avinor students!

The Czech Air Navigation Institute recently hosted a celebration ceremony marking the successful completion of Rating Training for a group of dedicated aviation professionals from Avinor.

The ceremony concluded an intensive 10-month training program that began when 24 young professionals arrived in Prague, eager to launch their careers in Air Traffic Control. Their inspiring journey began with ATC Basic Training, followed by specialization in ACS + APS, APS + ADC, and ADC + APS ratings.

At CANI, we are immensely proud to have been part of these professionals' development journey. They will now return to Norway to continue their careers with unit training, applying the knowledge and skills they've acquired during their time in Prague. Aviation Professionals from Three European Organizations Complete ATSEP Qualification Training at CANI

CANI successfully concluded its latest ATSEP Data Processing Qualification Training, with aviation professionals from three European organizations.

The intensive ATSEP Qualification Training in Data Processing brought together technical professionals from Fintraffic (Finland), PANSA (Poland), and Copenhagen Airports (Denmark).

All participants successfully completed the program under the guidance of CANI's certified ATSEP instructors and received their Certificate of Successful Completion. The certification validates their competency in data processing systems, meeting international aviation technical standards.

ATSEP professionals play a crucial role in aviation safety by maintaining and operating the technical systems that support air traffic control operations.

The data processing qualification represents the latest addition to CANI's active training schedule, which has been delivering various ATSEP specializations since mid-May. Highlights from AirspaceWorld Lisbon

The CANI team recently participated in AirspaceWorld in Lisbon, a premier industry event attracting over 200 exhibitors from more than 145 countries. Over three days, our team engaged in meaningful discussions, showcased innovation, and strengthened international collaborations.

Key highlights

  • On Tuesday our Director General Jan Klas signed an alliance agreement with Fintraffic ANS and Estonian Air Navigation Services (EANS). This strategic partnership focuses on the joint acquisition of a new ATM system, marking an important milestone in European air traffic management modernization.
  • Wednesday marked a special milestone as we celebrated 30 years of Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic. Reflecting on our journey from a state administration to a modern, customer-centered company reminded us of our core values: customer focus, entrepreneurial spirit, being attractive employer status, and fostering European cooperation. Our Director General expressed gratitude: "Thank you to all colleagues, partners, and friends who have been part of this journey. A special thanks to EUROCONTROL Director European Green Sky Tânia Cardoso Simões and CANSO Director General Simon Hocquard — long-standing partners and key contributors to our story." We also received warm congratulations from Azeraeronavigation.
  • The CANI Sales team and representatives of Georgian air navigation provider Sakaeronavigatsia Ltd are finalizing preparations for our Flight Inspection mission in Georgia, planned for 2025. Our Beechcraft B350 is ready to depart for Tbilisi for its first navaid inspection in the Caucasus region this year.

The event provided an excellent platform for networking, inspiring conversations, and planning future initiatives. We thank everyone who visited our booth and contributed to our memorable presence.

We are thrilled to announce that 15 young and motivated Czech students have officially started their ATC Basic Course!

To kick off this journey, the group participated in an adaptation course at Buchtuv kopec, allowing them to bond and get to know one another before diving into their classes. Successful delivery of ATSEP Basic Training

Last week, we hosted an incredible ATSEP Basic Training at CANI with an impressive international group of 21 participants!

Our attendees came from various organizations, including ANS CR, the airport in České Budějovice, Fintraffic (Finland), Naviair (Denmark), MACL (Maldives), and DFS Aviation Services (Germany). Despite the demanding nature of the training, we received fantastic feedback from everyone involved! It’s great to see such enthusiasm for learning and collaboration!

Last Monday, our Flight Inspection Unit embarked on an exciting mission for EUROCONTROL. The goal is to gather crucial data on GPS signal interference in Northern Europe. This mission is key for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of GPS systems, which are essential for aviation safety and efficiency.

Delegation from Kazakhstan in Prague!

A delegation from Kazaeronavigatsia, led by Director of ATM Department Askhat Kessikbayev, recently visited CANI and IATCC in Jeneč. The team was warmly welcomed by ANS CR Financial Director Radovan Okenka, CANI Director Václav Marvan, and Head of ATM Training Slavomír Novotný. With the planned introduction of air traffic flow management (ATFM) in Kazakhstan, our discussions focused on the valuable experience of the Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic.

The outcome of these negotiations marks a significant step forward, as both parties committed to further developing bilateral cooperation in training and knowledge sharing.Together, we aim to enhance the quality and safety of flights in the field of aviation.

Representatives of CANI Flight Inspection Unit, who is a proud provider of flight inspection services for more than 10 years were present.
