When considering my future career path, I explored various fields, including botany, law, music, and medicine. However, coming from Hradec Kralove, where the annual CIAF Air Show takes place, I was drawn to the world of aviation and ultimately decided to pursue it.
Following my graduation from high school, I enrolled in the Defence University, where I studied Air traffic control and other related subjects.. Once I had obtained my degree, I began working as an Air Traffic Controller at the military airport in Čáslav, and also occasionally served at Pardubice. However, in 2007, I decided to seek further professional challenges and transferred to the Force Development Section of the Ministry of Defence. Despite this career shift, I maintained my operational validity as an ATCO until 2015.
In 2015, I transitioned to civilian life and became an ATC instructor at CANI. My past experience and connections with former colleagues in the military helped me develop projects aimed at enhancing cooperation between civilian and military air traffic control. Driven by my passion for new challenges, I assumed the role of head of CANI in 2020.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and tending to my garden. I'm also fond of engaging in recreational sports and traveling to interesting places.

As a child, I dreamed of becoming a commercial airline pilot. Unfortunately, flying lessons were financially out of reach, so my path led me in a different direction. After finishing high school, I enrolled at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering.
In 2009, I came across an advertisement for air traffic controller training. It reignited my childhood passion for aviation, and I decided to give it a shot. In 2010, I joined ANS and eventually became an Area Air Traffic Controller.
Both of my parents were teachers, so education has always felt like a natural part of my life. In 2017, I became an OJTI at my unit, and in 2020, I began working with students at CANI. I joined the team full-time in 2022, and in 2025, I took on the role of Head of Training.
I truly enjoy teaching and sharing my experience with new colleagues. It’s incredibly rewarding to meet them later as fellow controllers in the operations room.
Outside of work, I enjoy riding my motorbike, flying as a private pilot, skiing, and running. I also love spending time with my son.

I grew up at the airport in Martin (Slovakia), where my father was a hobby pilot, and I was flying before I could even walk. During my studies at the university in Prague, I spent a lot of time with a group of friends on Flight Simulator, and this experience led me to a job as a pseudopilot with Air Navigation services in 2007.
After an unsuccessful attempt at becoming an ATC, I returned to my pseudopilot position in 2012. In 2015, I became the administrator of the TWR simulator and now I´m a Head of the Simulators and Pseudopilots Department at CANI. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing volleyball, flying small planes, taking pictures, and spending time with my family.

My family history drew me to aviation as my father served as a military aviator. In 1994, I started working at the Civil Aviation Authority, where I worked until 2011. From 2012, I changed employers and started working at Air Navigation Services in the Flight Inspection department.
What I like about my job is that it is not stereotypical and I have a great team of colleagues around me, with whom we have very good relations.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, recreational sports, and re-enacting military historical events.

From the age of 15 I flew with the aeroclub in Strakonice on gliders and later on the Zlin Z-142. After my studies in 1992 I started flying for the Army as a helicopter pilot, first in Košice and later in Pilsen. In 1994 I started training as a military Air traffic controller and after completing the course I started working in this position at Prague Airport. From there, my career path led to the Civil Aviation Authority, where I was in charge of supervising Air Navigation Services.
And that led me to CANI where I joined in 2019 as a Training, Licensing and Compliance Expert.
In my spare time, I am interested in the construction industry, play occasional sports and also spend time with my family.
